Season 2 was truly special.
Celebrating Keralaβs Harvest Festival
Onam is Keralaβs beloved harvest festival, celebrated by Malayalees across the globe. It marks the mythical homecoming of King Mahabali, who returns each year to witness the happiness and prosperity of his people. The celebration is brought to life through intricate Pookalam (flower carpets), the grand Onasadya feast on banana leaves, folk dance forms like Thiruvathira, thrilling boat races, and traditional music. At its core, Onam represents unity, abundance, and togetherness across all communities.
The Spirit of God's Own Country in Pune
Organized by Team Malayalees Pune, this mega cultural celebration brings the authentic warmth, cuisine, and heritage of Kerala directly to Pune. Following the success of its inaugural edition in 2025, Pune Ponnonam Season 2 (2026) serves as a bridge for non-Malayalees to experience Kerala's vibrant culture while providing the Malayalee community a heartfelt celebration far from home.
